Article Processing Charges (APC) Guide

Applicable to all submissions received on or after 1 December 2025

1. Introduction

The Textile Science & Research Journal (TSRJ) is an open access journal. To support the costs associated with editorial processing, peer review, production, and long-term digital preservation, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied to accepted manuscripts.

All published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide without subscription barriers.

 

2. Article Processing Charge (APC)

  • Standard APC: 600 EUR
  • This fee applies to all article types accepted for publication.

 

3. What the APC Covers

The APC supports the complete publication process, including:

  • Editorial screening and manuscript handling
  • Plagiarism and similarity checks
  • Peer review coordination
  • Copyediting and language enhancement
  • Typesetting and formatting
  • DOI registration
  • Online hosting and indexing support
  • Long-term digital archiving

Note: No additional charges are applied for color figures, supplementary materials, or article length.

 

4. Editorial Independence and Ethical Policy

The journal strictly adheres to ethical publishing standards.

  • All manuscripts undergo independent peer review.
  • Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit, quality, and relevance.
  • The ability of an author to pay the APC does not influence the review process or acceptance decision.
  • APCs are requested only after a manuscript has been accepted.

 

5. APC Payment Process

Upon acceptance, authors will receive an official invoice with payment instructions.

  • Payment is required within 10 days of invoice issuance.
  • The article will proceed to production after payment confirmation.

 

6. Payment Methods

The journal provides secure payment options for international authors:

  • Bank/Wire/SWIFT transfer (25 EUR bank charges may apply)
  • Wise (recommended for international payments)
  • PayPal (approximately 6% transaction fee)
  • Credit/Debit card (if available)

  • SEPA transfers typically take 1–2 working days.
  • International transfers may take 4–5 working days.

8. Waivers and Discounts

The journal is committed to supporting authors with financial constraints.

Full or partial APC waivers may be granted under the following conditions:

  • Authors from low-income and lower-middle-income countries
  • Unfunded research
  • Student-led research
  • Authors demonstrating financial hardship
  • Editorial board members may be eligible for a 50% APC discount.

All waiver requests are evaluated fairly and transparently by the editorial office.

Authors are encouraged to request waivers at the time of submission.

 

9. Refund Policy

  • APCs are non-refundable once the article has entered the production stage.
  • Refunds will only be issued if the article is withdrawn due to editorial or ethical reasons initiated by the journal.
